The Victron Phoenix MultiPlus is a versatile inverter and charger system, offering a range of features in a compact design.
Combining a true sine wave inverter with adaptive charging, hybrid PowerAssist technology, and system integration capabilities, the MultiPlus is ideal for a variety of power needs, including off-grid, mobile, or backup applications.
The Victron Phoenix MultiPlus features a true sine wave inverter that provides clean and stable power, making it suitable for sensitive devices and electronics. This ensures that connected equipment operates efficiently and without risk of damage from irregular power supply.
The unit also includes a 70 Amp adaptive charger, which optimises the battery charging process to enhance performance and efficiency.
One of the standout features of the MultiPlus is its Hybrid PowerAssist technology. This system prevents overloads when connected to limited AC sources, such as generators or shore power connections.
If the load exceeds the capacity of the power source, the system will automatically reduce the battery charging to prevent an overload. Additionally, it can boost the AC power output from the generator or shore supply by drawing on the stored energy in the batteries, providing extra power when needed.
In the event of a grid failure or disconnection of shore or generator power, the MultiPlus switches seamlessly to inverter mode, ensuring uninterrupted power to connected devices. This transition happens in under 20 milliseconds, which is fast enough to ensure that sensitive electronics, like computers, continue to operate without disruption.
The MultiPlus can also be expanded through parallel operation, allowing up to six units to be connected together to increase the total power output. For larger systems, three-phase or split-phase configurations are possible, depending on the model, offering flexible solutions for more demanding applications.
For ease of monitoring and control, the MultiPlus can be paired with a GX device, such as the Cerbo GX, enabling local or remote access via the internet. The free VRM app and portal allow users to monitor and control the system from anywhere in the world, whether from a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or PC. This level of control extends to adjusting system settings, monitoring performance, and even remotely starting a backup generator when necessary.
The MultiPlus also supports solar integration, ensuring that AC power remains available during a grid failure when used in conjunction with solar energy systems. Additionally, system configurations can be adjusted remotely, giving users the flexibility to manage their power systems with ease.
